Hello all,
Encountered the link to this forum in a post on another forum.
My name is game player s, also known in parts of the PSO community as Tweeg. I'm an avid video gaming enthusiast and collector specializing in vintage & classic gaming, as well as all things Sega. But, in the last decade my collecting focus has been centered upon all things PSO... which luckily ties into that all things Sega category.
Favorite version of PSO is PSO Version 2 on Dreamcast, it's the version that has consumed more of my life than any other to date. Maintain a rather inactive PSO: BB account on Schthack's server. Just recently was playing PC PSO (not to be confused with BB) on a fairly new private server until some serious issues arose from the administration that forced a good number of players to quit playing there. Am very eagerly anticipating PSO 2 even though my present PC is woefully insufficient to handle it. Have played every version of PSO to date, just not all of them online, and will admit I've not given Episodes II & III nearly enough play time.
FOnewm is my favorite class to play as. Not because of the class's usefulness in multi-player, but simply for the challenge of it. Also have played as both RA and HU class characters as well.
PSO Holds a special place in my heart for a variety of reasons. It's a great culmination of various things of my liking; a sci-fi fantasy theme & story, vibrant graphics, fun gameplay, and it debuted as a Sonic Team game on Sega's Dreamcast. And then there was the online, unlike anything that I'd experienced at that point in my life. Suddenly in an online environment surrounded by dozens of fellow DC system owners, made for a truly remarkable experience. Unlike chat rooms and such the rest of the PSO players already shared at least one commonality through same system ownership. Was also only the second game I ever played online at home. To put into words what I personally enjoyed most is very complicated and subjective, so not going to go into to much detail. What it all comes down to is, PSO is an amazing title that was released at just the right moment in time to earn itself a well deserved place in gaming history.
